I’ve just got back from a glorious week in Skiathos, a beautifully green Greek island in the northwest Aegean Sea in the heart of Sporades archipelago. Relaxed with sandy beaches, daily temperatures of 28c, and lovely tavernas and shops. It’s time the UK Government looked to its neighbours for inspiration

It seems everyone is looking to see how other Governments are progressing with their attempts to find a vaccine. Spying perhaps, but still not a bad idea. We should all be looking at what our neighbours are doing in terms of protecting jobs and businesses too – bearing in mind of course that all economies are different and there are regional differences to be taken into account. And if the UK Government were to take a look at what’s happening in our nearest neighbour, Ireland, it will find they’re a step ahead in terms of their job protection scheme.
